As you can see Granite Shoals is in the process of adopting a Home Rule charter.
The vote on adoption of their charter is scheduled for November 2005.
Such an adoption would extend their ETJ from 1/2 to 1 mile.

PUBLIC NOTICE

The Charter Commission of the City of Granite Shoals will hold public hearings at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 9, 2005 and at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 23, 2005 at Granite Shoals City Hall, City Council Chambers, located at 410 N. Phillips Ranch Road, Granite Shoals, Texas in regard to the proposed City Charter.
